Winter Nature

This weekend our photography class had to take photos of winter nature. I decided to walk around my grandmas house because there was a lot of interesting aspects. There were a lot of rocks and ice had melted the day before and then froze early that morning. I thought it was a good abstract photo.

This is my introductory photo. I took this photograph and edited them a little bit with photoshop and iphoto during photography class. I chose this photo because of the flower. It is a symbol of life. The photo represents beauty and love.
All I did to this photo was blur the background a little and crop some of it.  I love how it is starting to blossom and the powerful feeling it has. I think having more of the flower and not as much stem would have helped a lot, now that I am observing it. I took this photo because I really liked how it stands there. The shutter speed was 1/350, the aperture was 3.6, and the ISO speed was 140.
